From Yenagoa to Europe: Mary Aderemi Seals One-Year Move to Belarusian Side Dnepr Mogilev
A new chapter begins for rising Nigerian midfield sensation Mary Aderemi, who has officially completed a one-year deal with FC Dnepr Mogilev from Nigerian champions Bayelsa Queens FC.
The creative midfielder, widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Nigerian women’s football, makes the switch to Belarus following a standout season that saw Bayelsa Queens crowned champions of the Nigeria Women Football League in 2025.
Aderemi’s journey to Europe is built on consistency, vision, and flair. Known for her ability to dictate tempo, unlock defenses with precise passing, and deliver in crucial moments, she quickly became the heartbeat of Bayelsa Queens’ midfield. Her performances not only drove her club to domestic glory but also earned her recognition on bigger stages.
On the continental scene, she featured prominently in the Caf Wafu B with the super falconets of Nigeria where the team was crowned champions and in club football CAF Women’s Champions League, where Bayelsa Queens made an impressive run to the final. Despite their spirited campaign, they fell short against ASEC Mimosas in a hard-fought showdown that showcased Aderemi’s composure and class under pressure.
Her talent has also been recognized at the international level. Aderemi represented Nigeria at the U-20 level during the WAFU B U-20 Women’s Championship, where she further underlined her reputation as a technically gifted and intelligent midfielder capable of influencing games at the highest youth level.
The one-year agreement is seen as a strategic step giving Aderemi the opportunity to adapt to European football while allowing Dnepr Mogilev to integrate her creativity into their system. For both player and club, it represents a calculated move with high potential rewards.
As she prepares to begin life in Europe, one thing is clear: Mary Aderemi is not just taking a step forward she’s stepping onto a bigger stage.
