NYG:Edo State House of Assembly is to promugate a law that will allow Edo State train and retain her athletes for future competitions

Chairman House committee on Information, youth and sports Hon Donald Okogbe revealed this in Asaba Delta State during the seventh edition of the National youth games holding in Asaba Delta State.

Hon Donald Okogbe while speaking with joutnalists explained that Edo state house of Assembly and the Edo state sports commision are working in synergy to ensure athletes trained in Edo state remains in the state and not to be sold to other states.

Hon Okogbe says the mandate of Edo state Government in sports is to groom young athletes that will represent the state internationally.

Meanwhile Edo has qualify for the finals of the tennis singles female category.

Edo through Holzendorff Lorelay Sieglinde defeated Bright Emmanuel from lagos State.
