The 7th edition of the National Youth Games kicks off today in Asaba.

All things put in place for the start of the National Youth Games begin today, Saturday, September 23, 2023, after the screening of athletes yesterday.

Three sports are expected to start the games today, which include weightlifting, Table Tennis and Para table Tennis.

As the majority of the states have arrived, including the federal capital territory, they have arrived in the capital city of Delta State.

The games will feature 34 sports with no less than 4,500 athletes who are ready to go for gold medals.

The minister of sports development, Senator John Owan Enoh, is expected to be on the ground for the opening ceremony today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

The games will be held from September 23 to 30, 2023, across multiple venues in Delta State's capital city.
