Youth Games: Team Kwara Is Here To Make Kwarans Proud

 


The Executive Chairman Of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Magaji has confirmed the State readiness to compete for laurels as the 7th National Youth Games which Kicks off on Saturday.


The Kwara State Sports Commission chairman made this known while addressing News men on Friday after the first round of the screening was conducted.


"Before we left home we've trained, we've prepared and I can assure you we will do better than we did in the last edition" He said.


132 Team Kwara athletes will compete in 18 sports including: Table Tennis, Squash, Handball, Badminton, Athletics, Baseball, Five, Cricket, Swimming, Dart, Judo, Chess,  weightlifting, Scrabble, Cycling, Taekwondo, Hockey.


Team Kwara finished 6th at the last edition after garnering 10 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals.
