Coach Rollanson Odeh Congratulates Super Falcons on 10th WAFCON Title

Former Super Falcons coach and current General Manager of Edo Queens, Coach Rollanson Odeh, has congratulated the Nigerian women’s national team and head coach Justin Madugu on their historic victory over Morocco in the final of the 2025 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON), played last night in Rabat.

The Super Falcons clinched a hard-fought 3-2 win against the host nation to secure their 10th WAFCON title after falling 2-0 behind at halftime, reaffirming their dominance in African women’s football. In a message made available to the media, Coach Odeh described the victory as “a proud and defining moment for Nigerian football.”

“I want to sincerely congratulate the Super Falcons and Coach Justin Madugu for making the nation proud once again,” Odeh said. “Winning this title on Moroccan soil, against a strong host team and in front of a packed stadium, speaks volumes about the character, discipline, and fighting spirit of this team.”

Coach Odeh, who has played a key role in developing female football talents across Nigeria and led the Super Falcons during his time with the national team, praised the team’s resilience and teamwork throughout the tournament.

He also commended the technical crew, support staff, and the Nigerian Football Federation for providing the platform for success. “This is not just a win for the players, but for every stakeholder who has supported women’s football in Nigeria over the years,” he added.

The Edo Queens GM encouraged the players to remain focused and use this victory as a stepping stone toward greater achievements on the global stage, including the upcoming Olympic qualifiers and future World Cup campaigns.

As celebrations continue across the country, Coach Odeh’s message reinforces the significance of this victory—not just as a title win, but as a symbol of continued excellence and leadership in African women’s football.
